Clearfield School student Hunter Leigey is putting his carpentry skills to work as he carefully measures and prepares wood for sawhorses he and his classmates are building in the CCCTC Carpentry program.
Students are learning the importance of accurate measurements, proper tool use, planning, and attention to detail as they turn raw materials into useful, functional projects.
Hands on projects like this give students the opportunity to practice skills they can use in the classroom, on the job, and in future careers in the construction industry. Every cut, measurement, and project helps students build experience and confidence!
