Wyatt Johnson from Curwensville Area School District is gaining valuable hands on experience in the Masonry Construction program at CCCTC while completing a detailed quoined corner project.

Quoined corner bricks are decorative corner units designed to break up the straight lines of a basic corner. These bricks step out approximately 5/8 inch from the wall surface, creating a distinct architectural accent commonly found on upscale homes and commercial buildings including many Sheetz locations.

This project is part of students’ task list and challenges them to apply precision, problem solving, and plumb skills while constructing an accurate and visually appealing corner detail.
