Students in the Information Technology program at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center are learning the hands-on skills of computer building. Each group of students has been assigned a specific industry focus such as multimedia, business, database management, and gaming and must work within a set budget to design and assemble a computer that meets those needs.
This project not only challenges students to apply their technical knowledge, but also teaches them problem-solving, teamwork, and real-world decision-making as they balance performance with cost. By the end of the project, students will have a better understanding of how hardware choices impact system performance for different industries.
