Students in the Diesel Equipment Maintenance and Repair program at CCCTC recently participated in Stop the Bleed training. Under the direction of Jody Gunter, Health Occupations Instructor, students learned how to respond in emergency situations by applying direct pressure to wounds, controlling bleeding from gunshot injuries, and properly applying a tourniquet. The training also covered the critical steps to take when first arriving at a scene.
This training is especially valuable for students working with heavy equipment and machinery in the diesel industry, where accidents can happen quickly.
