Students in the Health Occupations Technology program at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC) recently participated in hands-on training designed to prepare them for real-life emergency situations.
Instructor Mrs. Saggesse presented students with a variety of scenarios, including a patient fall, heat exhaustion, heart attack, choking, seizure, and electrocution. Students were challenged to assess each situation, determine the appropriate response, and apply the proper steps for care.
Through these activities, students gained valuable experience in critical thinking, teamwork, and emergency preparedness—skills that will benefit them in both their education and future healthcare careers.
