Eric Samsel, an Automotive Mechanics Technology student from West Branch, has been named the Outstanding Student in Mr. Dan Kerlin’s Automotive Mechanics program. The award was presented as part of a Geared-UP Tech event collaboration sponsored by Hunter’s Garage, which brings together students and local industry professionals to recognize excellence in technical education.
As part of the honor, Eric received a brand new toolbox filled with tools, donated by several supportive local businesses.
Representatives from Hunter’s Garage presented the award with contributions from O’Reilly Auto Parts, Clearfield NAPA, Bud Electric, and AutoZone. This annual recognition highlights the strong partnership between CCCTC and the business community in preparing students for the workforce.
CCCTC partners with employers and community organizations to collaborate and ensure students are learning the most current skills. These partners are an integral part of designing and updating curriculum, helping to align training with real-world industry needs and expectations.
